We are delighted to invite you to Katarzyna Swinarska's latest exhibition Absent Lovers.
The artist weaves the individual story of a woman into the universal, culturally and historically shaped destinies of generations: of our great-grandmothers, mothers, and sisters - for whom solitude is inextricably entwined with every romantic relationship.
Katarzyna Swinarska explores the female experience by delving into family narratives, studying the lives of women who left their mark on history, and drawing from her own experiences as well as those of the people around her. Eroticism and the image of the female body play a central role in her work, combining stereotypically feminine qualities with those that still do not find cultural acceptance.

Time for an exhibition change – after presenting the works of Kacper Kowalski ON AIR, which inaugurated the activity of the Przypływ Gallery, we are handing over our space to the painter Magdalena Pela. The inspiration for her solo show And the woods eternally sing are the marks we intentionally leave behind : writings on walls, letters carved into tree bark, or quickly made tags that disappear under more layers of paint. Pela not only observes and collects these stamps of time and space, but also takes on the role of a copyist. She leans over them with attention and tenderness, spending hours embroidering on canvas the spontaneous expressions of our physical and digital presence.
